Science Olympiad is a competitive tournament where students compete over various science and engineering topics. Olympiad functions much like a football or soccer team, requiring preparation, commitment, coaching and practice throughout the year. Each school-based team is allowed to bring in 20 students who have cross-trained for a variety of events in their skill set. Fourth and Fifth grade students are given priority during competitions. Second and Third grade will serve as apprentices and will be considered as alternates for competition.
