Kilometer Kids (1-5th)

Over the course of the 10-week season, the goal for every Kilometer Kid is to run 26.2 miles or the equivalent of a marathon. Each participant will receive incentives when he/she hits certain mile markers! Kilometer Kids is not about who can run the farthest or the fastest (no running experience is required). It's about working hard, being kind and having fun while becoming more physically active, being a part of a team and reaching individual goals. And, it's also about having fun and finding the joy in running! We finish out our season by running the Marietta Daily Journal Gobble Jog together with our families. It's a tradition!

Before Clubs Start

  • Every student participating in enrichment clubs after school must be pre-registered for ASP. This is to prepare for the possibility that a parent/guardian is late or unable to pickup the student at the time of dismissal. You will only be charged by Cobb County if your child stays in ASP. Download the ASP Parent Sign Up Guide Here
  • Please send a note with your child the first week of Clubs to let their teacher know and any other time there is a change in their dismissal procedure.
  • MVES teachers will lead students to their classrooms for after school enrichment programs.
  • If you are bringing your child back to school to attend a second hour session club, you must arrive 10 minutes early in order to meet the instructor as they dismiss students from the cafeteria doors under the bus port on the righthand side of the school building.

Dismissal After Clubs

  • Dismissal Time for most 1st hour programs will be at 3:20pm (please review your confirmation email for more details and 2nd hour program dismissal times, or log into your FunClubs Active Account).
  • Dismissal Location is at the cafeteria doors under the bus port on the righthand side of the school building.  Clubs will meet you at the cafeteria doors with your child.  Be prepared to show ID.
  • Students will only be signed out to their parent or guardian who must be on the pick-up list on that student’s registration. Alternatively, the parent or guardian may send a note authorizing an alternative pick-up person.
  • Students participating in ASP will be signed into ASP following club dismissal.
  • If your child is in ASP prior to a second session club, they must return to ASP for dismissal through the cafeteria.  This is a School Policy.

Cancellations & Absences

  • FunClubs after school programs will follow the public school calendar. Classes will not meet on scheduled holidays, teacher work days, early release days, etc.
  • In the event of inclement weather, FunClubs will follow the public school closing decisions.
  • When a class is canceled for any reason, FunClubs will attempt to schedule a make up class if the semester has additional weeks available (before the Winter Break or Summer Break).
  • If your child will be absent or their dismissal plans change for any reason, please update your GoSafe account and the front office will notify your child's instructor.
  • If your child will be absent for any reason, please contact your school's front office and they will notify your child's instructor. Please note that we are unable to provide makeup classes for individual students who are absent.

  1. When you click SIGN UP you will be redirected to our registration page hosted by ActiveNet.
  2. Place ALL of the clubs in your cart at the same time that you wish to register for, including classes for different children. You can also increase the Quantity of a club to 2 (or more) if siblings are taking the same class together.
  3. As soon as you choose a class and place it in your cart when registration opens, those classes will be held for you until you complete the registration process.
  4. If a class says Waitlist Only, still join the class. There is often some movement that happens after the first days of registration that helps open up spots for students on the waitlist.
  5. Once you hit the red CONTINUE button, you will be able to assign your selected programs to different children, if applicable.
  6. Returning Customers DO NOT Need to Sign-In first to register. Simply click on SIGN UP, add the classes you want into your cart, and then you will be prompted to enter your account email and password (this will ensure you've added the classes you want to your cart first). If you have an existing account, it is still a good idea to double-check your password before beginning the registration process.
  7. If you are looking for a Specific Program, Filter by SESSION TYPE on the left-hand side.
  8. Classes can be viewed by SESSION LIST or CALENDAR, which will allow you to see all program schedules at once.
  9. All discounts, including automatic discounts such as sibling discounts, and provider coupon codes, will be added on the checkout page (on the last page of the registration process).

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW MUCH DO CLASSES COST?

The tuition for each class is set by the individual club. Program tuition can vary based on the materials provided, length of the class, or specialty of the course topic. All tuition prices listed are for the entire 10-14 week semester, depending on the number of days available on the school calendar. To see more details, discounts, and installment plan options, click SIGN UP.

HOW LONG DO PROGRAMS LAST?

Time: Most after school enrichment classes last 60 minutes long. At some schools, clubs also offer a 2nd session or longer class time depending on their lesson plans and course topic. See the Schedule tab for more details. Semester: Most classes meet once a week for 10-14 weeks, depending on the number of days available. In general, all FunClubs after school programs will follow the public school calendar. Classes will not meet on scheduled holidays, teacher work days, early release days, etc. To see the time, day, and schedule details for each class, click SIGN UP.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS OR DISCOUNTS?

YES! When you enroll your child you will have the option of paying in full or choosing our convenient 4-Month Payment Plan (available for most programs). Some participating classes also offer multiple discounts, including Early-Bird, Sibling, Multi-Season, and Referral Rewards.

How do I create a new student account?

Please note that creating an account before registration opens is not possible, but as soon as you choose a class and place it in your cart when registration opens, those classes will be held for you until you complete the registration process.

Here are a few tips:
1) Know which classes you want to sign up for beforehand.
2) If registering more than one student, you can select all of their classes at the same time and assign who will attend each later during the registration process. If two students are doing the same class, just increase the Quantity in the cart to 2.
3) If a class says Waitlist Only, do still join the class. There is often some movement that happens after the first days of registration that helps open up spots for students on the waitlist.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?

You may cancel your child’s program before registration closes at your school by logging into your ActiveNet account. All cancellations are subject to a 5% fee, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the original form of payment.

After registration closes, prorated refunds may be issued upon request and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please note:
- After the 4th week of classes, refunds will be limited to no more than 50% of the program cost.
- After the 8th week, no refunds will be issued, except for significant hardship (e.g., relocation or medical exemption)
- Some Program Providers do not allow refunds for any reason once classes have begun. This is outlined in the Payment & Refunds section of the Waivers during registration.

FunClubs does not issue refunds or credits for missed classes due to personal scheduling conflicts (e.g., sports, other enrichment activities). We will make every effort to reschedule any classes cancelled due to inclement weather.
