We are a well-established, Cobb County foreign language enrichment program. Classes are taught by creative and enthusiastic Spanish teachers.  We give the children useful vocabulary words in different units, and we help them learn these words by practicing them in different activities and games. The goal is to help children gain an enthusiasm and appreciation for learning Spanish as a second language and to provide a strong vocabulary base to prepare them for Spanish in middle school. Children previously enrolled in the program will be introduced to new content and challenged with new curriculum.  We provide needed materials and supplies for all students.

Before Clubs Start

  • Every student participating in enrichment clubs after school must be pre-registered for ASP. This is to prepare for the possibility that a parent/guardian is late or unable to pickup the student at the time of dismissal. You will only be charged by Cobb County if your child stays in ASP. Download the ASP Parent Sign Up Guide Here
  • GoSafe/ParentVUE Dismissal Updates: Parents must login to GoSafe ParentVUE and mark CLUB as the dismissal choice for each day your child is attending an enrichment program with FunClubs, and indicate how they should be dismissed after clubs (Car-Rider or ASP).
  • Program instructors will meet students in the Cafeteria and lead them to their classrooms.
  • Students attending both a first-hour and second-hour club on the same day will be escorted to the ASP Desk at the conclusion of the first hour to meet their second-hour instructor and classmates.

Dismissal After Clubs

  • Dismissal Time for most programs will be at 3:30pm (please review your confirmation email for specific class times or log into your FunClubs Active Account). If your student is in a 2nd hour program, dismissal will be at 4:35pm.
  • Dismissal Location for car-riders will be at the Front Car-Rider Line (if you are more than 10 minutes late your child will signed into ASP).
  • Dismissal Plan Changes to your student's regular after-club dismissal plan must be updated in your GoSafe/ParentVUE account before 1:40 PM on the day of class.
  • Authorized Pick-Up List: Students will only be signed out to their parent or guardian who must be on the pick-up list on that student’s registration. Alternatively, the parent or guardian may send a note authorizing an alternative pick-up person.
  • Students participating in ASP will be signed into ASP following club dismissal.

Cancellations & Absences

  • FunClubs after school programs will follow the public school calendar. Classes will not meet on scheduled holidays, teacher work days, early release days, etc.
  • In the event of inclement weather, FunClubs will follow the public school closing decisions.
  • When a class is canceled for any reason, FunClubs will attempt to schedule a make up class if the semester has additional weeks available (before the Winter Break or Summer Break).
  • If your child will be absent for any reason, please contact your school's front office and they will notify your child's instructor. Please note that we are unable to provide makeup classes for individual students who are absent.

Sign Up Tips

  1. When you click SIGN UP you will be redirected to our registration page hosted by ActiveNet.
  2. Place ALL of the clubs in your cart at the same time that you wish to register for, including classes for different children. You can also increase the Quantity of a club to 2 (or more) if siblings are taking the same class together.
  3. As soon as you choose a class and place it in your cart when registration opens, those classes will be held for you until you complete the registration process.
  4. If a class says Waitlist Only, still join the class. There is often some movement that happens after the first days of registration that helps open up spots for students on the waitlist.
  5. Once you hit the red CONTINUE button, you will be able to assign your selected programs to different children, if applicable.
  6. Returning Customers DO NOT Need to Sign-In first to register. Simply click on SIGN UP, add the classes you want into your cart, and then you will be prompted to enter your account email and password (this will ensure you've added the classes you want to your cart first). If you have an existing account, it is still a good idea to double-check your password before beginning the registration process.
  7. If you are looking for a Specific Program, Filter by SESSION TYPE on the left-hand side.
  8. Classes can be viewed by SESSION LIST or CALENDAR, which will allow you to see all program schedules at once.
  9. All discounts, including automatic discounts such as sibling discounts, and provider coupon codes, will be added on the checkout page (on the last page of the registration process).

Please note that creating an account before registration opens is not possible, but as soon as you choose a class and place it in your cart when registration opens, those classes will be held for you until you complete the registration process.

Here are a few tips:
1) Know which classes you want to sign up for beforehand.
2) If registering more than one student, you can select all of their classes at the same time and assign who will attend each later during the registration process. If two students are doing the same class, just increase the Quantity in the cart to 2.
3) If a class says Waitlist Only, do still join the class. There is often some movement that happens after the first days of registration that helps open up spots for students on the waitlist.

New Student Account Creation

Hello Parents!

Welcome to FunClubs at Timber Ridge Elementary! Please note that creating an account before registration opens is not possible, but as soon as you choose a class and place it in your cart (on 7/30 at 8pm or shortly after), those classes will be held for you until you complete the registration process.

Here are a few tips:

  • Know which classes you want to sign up for beforehand
  • If registering more than one student, you can select all of their classes at the same time and assign who will attend each later during the registration process. If two students are doing the same class, just increase the Quantity in the cart to 2.
  • If a class says Waitlist Only, do still join the class. There is often some shuffling that happens after the first days of registration that helps open up spots for students on the waitlist.

The second tip is important because parents will sometimes register one child and then start the process all over again for the 2nd child...this increases the chance that a class may sell out in the meantime.

Hope this all helps!
The FunClubs Team
